EastLink Selects Incognito Software for Cable IP Network Deployments

EastLink, the fifth largest cable provider in Canada, has selected a device provisioning system from Incognito Software to deploy Internet and telephone services. Long known for its exceptional quality services, EastLink has implemented new technologies to ensure business and residential customers will continue to experience high quality services in the future.

Vancouver, BC (PRWEB) May 30, 2007 -- EastLink, the fifth largest cable provider in Canada, has selected a device provisioning system from Incognito Software to deploy Internet and telephone services. Long known for its exceptional quality services, EastLink has implemented new technologies to ensure business and residential customers will continue to experience high quality services in the future.

Incognito’s new Broadband Command Centerä device provisioning solution meets EastLink’s key requirements for reliability, ease of administration, and PacketCableä support. The system currently activates customer premise equipment required for telephone services. In the future, the system will also be used to provision cable modems for Internet services.

According to Jim Fitzgerald, Senior Director of Operations at EastLink, “We continue to develop our network and systems to ensure that our customers receive the best service possible. We were able to set up a working Incognito lab environment in only one day – a much shorter timeframe than other solutions that were evaluated. Incognito provided the expertise and resources we needed for a smooth transition to the new platform.”

Chris Busch, VP Broadband Technologies at Incognito Software, added, “We designed Broadband Command Center to provide the utmost in performance and reliability for our customer networks. Our team is very pleased to be working with EastLink on these critical services.”
