AdMob Expands Operations in Asia Pacific To Capitalize on its Leadership Position in Mobile Advertising

Regional Headquarters in Singapore to Support Advertisers and Mobile Publishers in High-Growth Markets

Singapore (PRWEB) October 31, 2009 -- AdMob, the world's largest and fastest growing mobile advertising platform, today announced it has expanded its operations in the Asia Pacific region to capitalize on the company's leadership position in the rapidly growing mobile advertising market. Through its regional headquarters in Singapore, AdMob will support its customers - advertisers, agencies, publishers and mobile developers - in connecting with the growing number of consumers accessing mobile Web sites and applications on their mobile phones. Research studies have estimated global revenues for mobile advertising to top US$13 billion by 2013.

"Asia Pacific is a high-growth region for mobile advertising and is already one of AdMob's fastest growing markets," said Jeff Merkel, Vice President and Managing Director, Asia Pacific and Latin America, AdMob. "By opening an office in Singapore, AdMob will be able to work closely with customers throughout the region to break down the barriers to doing business on mobile. Our goal is to make mobile work for advertisers who want to engage with a targeted audience of consumers and for mobile publishers who need to effectively monetize their business."

AdMob is the world's largest mobile advertising platform, having served more than 120 billion mobile banners and text ads across a wide range of leading mobile Web sites and applications. AdMob's network of more than 15,000 mobile sites and applications gives the company the size and scale needed to deliver rich solutions for advertisers and maximize revenue for publishers.

AdMob's localized sites for English, Bahasa or Chinese deliver the rich functionality, detailed targeting options, scalable ad units and robust self-serve capabilities advertisers need. In-depth analytics and metrics are available to provide detailed evaluation of return on investment to determine the success of brand outreach and campaigns.

AdMob works with mobile publishers and developers to monetize their mobile Web sites or applications with advertising. AdMob offers a suite of services for mobile publishers, including Analytics, ad support across multiple mobile platforms and the ability for developers to reserve a portion of their inventory to serve house ads. AdMob is committed to giving mobile publishers and developers the control and tools they need to increase monetization opportunities and in turn grow the mobile ecosystem.

Outside of the United States, India and Indonesia are AdMob's largest markets today, with a combined total of more than 1 billion requests in September 2009. AdMob has seen iPhone usage explode in advanced markets such as Australia, Singapore, and Hong Kong. In Australia alone, AdMob receives more than 100 million ad requests per month on the iPhone and reaches more than one million unique users.
