Former Milwaukee Strehlow Hardware Location Becomes New Discount Children's Store

Half Price Kid Stuff Opens Monday November 3, 2009

Milwaukee, WI (PRWEB) October 30, 2009 -- Nostalgic former Bayview neighborhood Strehlow Hardware Building has a new tenant. Half Price Kid Stuff will open its doors at 2675 South Kinnickinnic Avenue on Monday November 3, 2009 at 10:00am. With 102 years of experience of selling tools, the former hardware location will continue to focus on the exact same concept with a new twist. These types of tools will better equip parents in raising kids in this expensive new economy world.

"We haven't touched a thing" declares owner Traci Sherman regarding the layout of the space. "It was very important to us to preserve and respect the historical integrity of the fixtures and the store front" states Sherman. The sliding ladder that glided along the shelves will now be used to pluck pacifiers in stead of pliers from the now colorful inventory.

Half Price Kid Stuff features discount new and gently used children's and maternity items. The store carries new items from Carters, Old Navy, Gap, Fisher Price, Boppy and handpicked gently used items. Their website features examples of the items as well as a live feed from the CPSC for accurate recall information. They are one of only two maternity resellers in the Milwaukee area.

The store will host play groups in their new location, as well as grandparent events. "Our goal is to be a resource for families of all kind in the Milwaukee area" said Sherman. She backs it up with a bi-lingual staff, flexible hours by appointment should your schedule need it and a non-profit organization that donates shopping sprees to moms in the area for the items they need most.

Traci Sherman moved to Milwaukee from Tampa, Florida a year ago. A hotel executive for more than a decade, she realized there was a growing need for quality children's items at an affordable price.
