Massapequa Park, NY (PRWEB) July 4, 2008 -- According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the U.S. Department of Labor, twenty million people work from home in the Unites States. WHY magazine, which recently celebrated its first-year anniversary, is the only online magazine for work-at-homers, offering tools and information to keenly manage the intermingling elements of life, providing a cyber water cooler for the exchange of information, and creating a much-needed sense of a community.

This month's issue of WHY features stories written exclusively for work-at-homers including how to::
--maintain momentum during the summer;
--cut costs AND market through a recession;
--tackle the daily to-do list; and
--make money from blogging.

"Working from home can feel very isolating," says Dina Santorelli, Editor and Publisher of WHY and long-time work-at-homer. "There is no co-worker on the other side of the cubicle to talk with, no IT guy to call when the computer goes on the fritz, no secretary to take messages when the phone won't stop ringing. WHY fills that void and makes sure people don't feel alone. It's the only resource for those who know it's possible to have it all, and to get it all done from home."

WHY magazine, which launched in May 2007, is dedicated to work-at-homers of all types: entrepreneurs with at-home businesses, telecommuters (both full- and part-time), those who bring work home from the office either occasionally or every day, and everyone in between. Offered in bi-monthly format, WHY covers the kind of topics that people who work from home are most interested in--from how to stay focused with young kids in the house to the top ways to avoid spam email.

"This really is brand new territory for millions of Americans and there is so much to discuss," says Santorelli. "We have a lot of insight to share on work, home, and keeping the right balance, and we've barely begun to scratch the surface."
