Body Balance Opens Golf Fitness Center in New Dallas Location

Body Balance for Performance Dallas has taken golf fitness to a new level with a new location, cutting-edge equipment and advanced golf-specific certifications.

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) September 13, 2007 -- Body Balance for Performance Dallas has taken golf fitness to a new level with a new location, cutting-edge equipment and advanced golf-specific certifications.

A pioneer in golf fitness training, Body Balance for Performance first opened a way for people to get fit for golf in the Dallas area more than seven years ago.

"After years of being in private practice as a physical therapist, I was looking for a way to help golfers like my husband feel and play better consistently," said Teena Petree, owner of Body Balance for Performance-Dallas. "At that time, Body Balance for Performance seemed like a good solution."

After that decision was made, Teena and her staff have worked diligently to impress the same upon golfers throughout the metroplex.

Successful in their pursuit, Body Balance for Performance, once operated out of Summit Physical Therapy, now has 1,500 square feet of space dedicated to golfers. The space sits right beside the rehab and is filled with cutting-edge technology specifically for golfers, such as the Dynamic Balance System, the Body Motion System and the Explanar.

"The number of golfers who heed our advice has dramatically increased," said Heather Parker, a golf fitness specialist and PTA. "We know the body and how it relates to the way they swing the club. To ensure that we provide the best possible care, we have been forced to expand upon our knowledge, technology and location."

Body Balance for Performance maintains that the body is the one piece of equipment that players will always use. Knowledgeable that there are things in every golfer's bag that can be replaced, the body is not one of them. The goal of Body Balance for Performance is to maximize the efficiency of the body through a 3R approach that involves releasing, re-educating and rebuilding a stronger, more flexible body.

"If the shaft of your club was bent, you probably would opt not to play with it," said Parker. "In that instance as with the body, structure governs performance. Improving spinal alignment will improve a golfer's performance while decreasing the risk of injury. That's what we do."
