NFL: Giants to Provide Homelike Atmosphere for the Saints in Katrina Aftermath

The Saints will play their home opener in Giants stadium this Sunday, almost three weeks after Hurricane Katrina roared through Louisiana. The Giants will do their best to make the Saints feel at home.

(PRWEB) September 16, 2005 -- Hundreds of miles away from the Superdome ravaged by Hurricane Katrina, the Saints will play their first home game at Giants Stadium. Saints gold and black will be displayed along the walls of the stadium and in one of the end zones but wide receiver Joe Horn is realistic about the situation.

"It's cool. But don't get me wrong,the Giants are still playing a home game." The pregame and halftime show will include a variety of musical artists. New Orleans native Harry Connick Jr and Brandon Marsalis will perform the national anthem.

Irvin Mayfield will play "America the Beautiful. 3 Doors Down will perform at the halftime show.Also, President Bush will also be in the building to take part in the coin toss.Giants Stadium. Home Sweet Home.
